Drennan Matchpro Superlight ticks all the boxes.

Have a look at the newish Drennan Finesse, very good.

I use the Drennan 14ft Floatmaster, but i’m not sure if it is still made. It will do all of what you ask, i have had mine about 5 years, so they probably wont make it anymore as thats a long time now in tackle terms. they must do something in its place though.

The 14ft drennan ultralite fits the bill. The drennan im9 finesse only comes in a 13ft version so far but is the dogs danglers. If you cannot find what you want in a new rod go back to the late 80’s to mid ninetys and hunt around ebay thats when top of the range rods were designed to handle lines down to 12oz and up to 4lb. I would look for shimano, daiwa and drennan (im9 fourteen foot) sold from under my nose – cheers dad. Should the rod needs re ringing most decent tackle shops should help or scout around online for a rod builder.

Drennan Matchpro Ultralight. Superb rods. Used the 14ft for all my river float work since they came out and wouldn’t swap.

                      Confused myself here.

Looks like I meant to put Matchpro Ultralight, not Superlight.

Thinking of my Milo New Era Superlite, which is also a brilliant roch rod.

What about tri-cast Allerton? although that’s only 13 or 15ft?
