You haven’t found any reviews of the garbo M3 because it doesn’t exist lol, it’s the M1. I’ve seen them on the bank and they are much stiffer than the gmax 1000. The other difference is that the 14.5m section has been made a bit wider as the 13m section was a bit tight on the 1000.

I’m sure the M3 replaces the Gmax 800.

is the Gmax 800 a strong pole?

Or you could by my G max1000 for £1400 – take look in the for sale section, a lot better pole and you save £350 😉

The G-Max 800 is a pretty strong pole! I’ve had one since July ’10 and haven’t had a problem with it at all – 100lb+ weights and double figure fish, using lakky’s up to purple hydro.

I believe the newer M models are not that different to the G-Max’s, with the bottom sections being a just touch wider (and the same top-kits), so I’d foresee no problems doing the same with them.

                    I stand corrected sorry 😮 😮

MAP produce fantastic pole, I’ve felt a few of their lower models and they’ve been great so the top of the range poles must be out of this world. Spares are easy to get hold of, very strong poles and the spares are cheap too. I would go with the MAP in all fairness. From what I’ve heard the 825 is one of the best poles on the market.

3 of my family have MAP poles, £40 for a top 3 and £30 for a power kit, they are strong and i i would reccomend any of the range to anybody!!
