        Hi all just wondering how’s it is fishing at the moment, saw in the paper that Don G had 70lb of skimmers, was this on the match or main lake?

        Going up there in two weeks so hopefully it wont be as cold !!!!

        Also i assume furnace big is still fishing the same?

          Don had his weight from the floating island peg on the main lake outside the lodge.

          Furnace is still tough but great and fair fishing, just adjust your target weights

          The best weights on the big lake on Sundays in Jan were:

          8/1 – 9lbs
          15/1 – 21lbs
          22/1 – 29lbs
          29/1 – 19lbs

            went to sumners friday for the first time,fished the pegs mentioned,what a fantastic place
            had to wait a while for the ice to be broken up by the geese/ducks,between 3 of us 1 skimmer and a roach,never in my life have i been so cold,but i will go back,couldnt fish the match lake it was solid,going back first week in april,cant wait
