Never really fished punch but I do know a couple of lads that fish it on the ancholme, Its an absolute science to them they cut the crusts off the bread they use a hook bait and roll 2 slices together with a rolling pin, this has 15 seconds in the microwave and straight in an ait tight bag, this gives you a very rubbery pellet like punch piece of bread for the hook. For the feed bearing in mind the Ancholme is mainly small roach they take their crusts off blitz the bread then pass it through a flour sieve this gives an ultra fine dust, theres no big particles whatsoever. They pot in and fish it out for the first hour, when it fades they top up and have a look at their worm lines and occasionally look back over their punch swim. This is only a hindsight into how Two of my mates fish punch, everyones approach is different.
