Roy is holding 2 x 2 day festivals at the Glebe on Sat / Sun May 12th & 13th and Sat / Sun May 26th & 27th.

Main sponsor is Marukyu plus others, so lots of prizes promised

Both matches are 100 peg limit and cost of tickets is £25 per festival + Optional pools. Price includes a hog roast at the racetrack cafe on the Saturday evenings.

There will be 2 zones, you’ll fish each on alternate days.
Zone 1 = Big Lake, Foundation & Lake 7
Zone 2 = Lakes 1, 4, 5 & 6

Optional pools (£20 / per day) will be paid out 100% and will all be paid on sections. With sections of 7 or 8 he’s expecting to pay first 3 in each section.

Optional pairs competition (pick your own partner) will be F.O.C. with prizes, and will be done on weight.

There will be trophies / prizes for top overall weights each day.

Some of the ticket money will be used to buy trophies (nice ones ), some of it will pay for the Hog Roast and the remainder will go into the fishery fund towards upkeep of the complex.

Roy wants to run the matches in the same way as the normal Glebe club matches, i.e. lot of winners rather than one person drawing a flyer and taking home one or two grand. Same thing with prizes, he’s saying that he’d rather have 25 meat cutters to give away than an Airity pole which would probably be won by a sponsored angler who would immediately stick it on eBay.

He wants as many anglers as possible to go home happy having had some great fishing and hopefully having picked up a few quid or a prize.
