So went your fishing with maggots is it ok to feed pellets and vice versa? I don’t want to fish too many lines but I’ve heard you can’t fish one and feed the other.

I have caught plenty of skimmers fishing red maggot over micro pellets when I couldn’t buy a bite on an expander.

            why can’t you mix them?
micros and maggots are deadly at times. I don’t think i’d mix maggots with anything bigger.

in my experience , maggot over pellet feed works well , pellet over maggot feed not so good.

But generally you will get better results feeding and hooking same bait

I often feed soaked 4mm pellets and maggot on mixed venues, you will catch on soft pellet or maggot.

This can be a killer tactic for skimmers and bream.

“So went your fishing….” I just hope your fishing’s better than your grammer..

refering to maggots and groundbait thing, I’ve fished some venues with silly rules, but none that ban you from feeding pellet and fishing maggot over top.

i tend to have 2 lines at same depth, one pellet one maggot and try both hook baits over both

Thanks for the answers lads. The reason I asked was I know at TBF a few years ago it was a swim killer. Just trying to understand things better.

A few months ago there was a thread about this forum and the things that were wrong about it, it’s idiots like the one above who back up some of the points made.

I always like to drop a few maggots in when eding pellet, more so on the difficult days.
