        hi,could i get away with a heavy feeder rod or will i need a special,cheers andy.

          A fully loaded spomb weighs roughly 85 grams=3 oz’s,and weighs 25 grams-7/8ths ounce empty.so a heavy feeder rod should be ok.but still use at least a 10lb mainline for casting with.

            used it for first time friday.used it on daiwa 11/13 amorphous whisker 6 lb sensor with a ten pound leader.was fishing it at 84 turns on a shimano 5010 baitrunner in a cross wind and had no probs at all,really impressed.

              Are the small spomb any good at all?
              I bought the original size one around six months ago and it was truly appaling.

                only used it the once upto now but seems fine,couldnt get it out of my mates hand
