Result of AVVC / Redditch Federation of Anglers Arrow Valley Lake individual League final round, Arrow Valley Lake 7.4.2012.

In an exciting finish following nine hard fought matches held on the lake over the difficult winter months it took a total weight count back to find a winner.
The two series leaders, Maurice Williams and Mark Bissett both fished brilliantly, winning six sections each over the series for perfect scores of six points, however Maurice took it on total weight of fish caught, his 124lb total giving him a 22lb winning margin over Mark.
Redditch angler Dave Schofield took third with an eight point score one ahead of Mark Dowery.
Following a week which saw a return to winter weather, the twelve anglers competing in this, the last round of the league found the lake a difficult proposition.
Match winner on the day was league runner-up Mark Bissett, Mark winkled out twelve bream on method feeder with sweetcorn on the hook, casting to the island from peg 7 on the playground bank for a catch of just over 30lb.
League champion Maurice Williams used similar tactics but with boilies on the hook from peg 54 falling one bream short of the winner for second place.
In third place John Walkden fished the pole throughout with maggots over groundbait taking one good bream and a rake of skimmers for a level 15lb score.

With just one match to go in the league the four major placings look sorted with Maurice Williams and Mark Bissett sharing the lead tied on 8 pts just ahead of Mark Dowery and Dave Schofield on 9.
Any one of these four are in with a shout of the number one spot which goes right down to the wire in the deciding final match which is taking place next Saturday April 7th.
