Not sure if this has been covered as i have been away but I have really enjoyed the series of Stan Piechas interviews running just now in MF.
The latest one highlights once more what a dominant figure Dick Clegg has become within the angling political world. Pete and he were rivals in the trade and clearly some conflict remains. I cannot recall Dick ever going into print with his own version of events but he came out of the Milsom episode damaged goods in my opinion. He also seems to have put the boot in for Pete too.
Two other ponts struck me, why have a dig at Roy Marlow and his Japanese baits “they dont have bream” was uncalled for and missed the point that many match anglers target carp now and the Japanese know a lot about them. Also reference to what was paid to anglers to move to Essex county was wrong in my opinion, this should have remained confidential.
Maybe its just the way I see things, I run my own business and like competition to be strong, I dont slag them off, I try to learn what they are doing better than me!
All that said really enjoyed the article and look forward to more.

diagree a bit, good read and nice to see an honest interview with proper answers rather than leaving stuff not said or open to guess work for those of us not in the know
