Anonymousif anyone is interested the doncaster spring league starts on sunday(you can fish them as opens if unable to make all of them).first match is this sunday at sykehouse lock(new junction canal).the stretch is fishing very well for roach and skimmers and should be good for the next few weeks.

This weekend second round was fished on s.yorks navigation canal at pilks. Unfortunately the skimmers went awol due to the cold water flushed through the system during the week. Despite that the odd chub put in an appearance with the roach being hard to tempt.1st Shane Galleger – Clay Lane 6lb-9oz (3 chub)
2nd Paul Slack – Sensas North 6lb-4oz (roach n gudgeon)
3rd Jim Evans – Clay Lane 5lb-1oz (roach n gudgeon)
4th James Cameron – Clay Lane 4lb-1oz ( roach n gudgeon)
Bound for Holland at end of week….so will post rounds 3 & 4 in a fortnight.

Last weeks round was yet again fished on south yorksire navigation canal at pilkingtons stretch.
Apparently the weather cinditions were horrendous!!!1st- Shane gallagher ( clay lane) 6lb 10oz – 3 x chub…. chop worm n caster throigh feeder tight over.
Joint 2nd – Danny Evans ( clay lane) & Paul Slack (sensas thorne) 4lb 6oz – roach n gudgeon on squatt.Round 4 results to follow shortly

pegs 326 to 351 – Bright conditions wiv a blow on.Shutters went down early on pole line,,,,,ย as unbeknown to us the Bremes decided to gate crash the party!!!!! ๐ฎ

TF_PedroDonny AA Knockup
This weekend saw us back on New Juction at Barking Dogs – 332 – 349.Canal runnig clear, sunny with a refreshing ENE blow.
Once more the skimmers bremes had their party hats on!!Was a case of trying to winkle out the better size fish.
1st Pete Roe (clay lane) 32-4.
2nd John Ibbotson (Ossett) 29-14.
3rd Dave Scales (walton) 28-12.
4th John Deakin (donny) 26-8.All on g/bait feeder.
18 fished and yet again over 200lb of skimmer bremes hit the scales.
Back there again next weekend for more of the same mi-thinks ๐

TF_PedroThe Canal is running clear ….even in town n around the marinas … ๐ฎ
84 fished today with Wykewell Bridge back towards Thorne tiwn center throwing up the majority of the framers.Roach still very sparce…..with bulk of weight made up of Skimmers with the odd hybrid & perch.
One bleak catch of approx 200kippers for 2-700 from 208 on the stones.
Desperate to find a wedding to attend next Sunday…..ย ๐

Turned out to be a good dayz barrowing for top two podium places…whalst 3rd had a steady amble just shy of marina mouth…..topside of wykewell bridge..Juncky practice fo 4th round next sunday…..

77 Fished.Canal runnin clear with roach shoaled up in pockets…turned out to be a reet struggle in most areas cept fo odd billys
340s topside of barking dogs……towardsย wires above sykehouse lock threw up 4 of the top 5 framers . .skimmers and bream.apart from end peg James Cameron & Andy Anderson (250’s)..who both returned Roach weights. Odd chub n eel showed throughout.

Pegs 247 to 421
Canal running with the roach still huddled in pockets. Perch were the mainstay today with odd bream n eels showing.
Majority of bream around Sykehouse wires took the day off…with two of top three individuals coming from Hacienda pegs 247 & 249 ( roach & perch – squatt). -

Phil Iveson walked this by a country mile with 17kg 700g of Bream n Skimmers drawing end peg on day between Mauds n Moores Bridges
Bulk of backup weights were made up of Skimmers, Perch and odd Eel…with some finding Roach on Seed late on.
Second on the day from opposite West Street with 4kg 950g…and also making the long trip from Peterborough was Abby Kendall ( Maver Image).1st…Phil Iveson (Hull) 17-700
2nd…Abby Kendall (Maver Image) 4-950
3rd…Phil Morgan (Thorne) 4-600
4th… Ian Exley (Donny) 4-470

With River back to normal level and clear…..a steady amble to pegs below viaduct were the place to draw. Worm n feeder for skimmers was boss with odd fish falling to pole.

3rd – M Green (Clay Laner) peg 105 – 8kg 100g

TF_PedroSummer League Round 6 River Don Sprotborough
With River still low and clear…… it was the turn of those with the longest walk who were rewarded with a good days fishing. Worm n feeder for bream and skimmers still boss.
Other than that…section wise it was those who got their heads down pole fishing for Gudgeon from 6 to 14mtr (not short!!!)…..who returned good section points.. With odd Chublette to 1lb from tight across on blockend.Top 3 teams on the day:
1st – 0sset
Joint 2nd – Thorne & Donny.Individual:
1st – P Stevenson (Donny)
Peg 56 – 11kg 600g
2nd – P Daley (Normanton)
Peg 55 – 10kg 300g
3rd – J Cameron (Clay Lane) Peg 54 – 6kg 400gWith next weeks round 7 on Don again and final round on A&C Canal the weekend after…. Donny should do well……however its still a two horse race for the title between Ossett and Thorne.

Rawcliffe & PollingtonThorne tightened the screw ๐ โฆ. Ossett suffered a โWogga Wobbleโ ๐ and as for Donny – well they never really managed to get their batteryโs sort out !! ๐ฎ
