Not much of a pellet angler,I know its better fished dead depth and tidy rigs etc etc ….. How would you approach a venue which tows alot, a place where you need .4 rigs 4ft depth and your float still wonders about a bit, please advise Cheers Anthony

Ant,wouldn’t worry about the tow it might help a bit, you need to keep rig moving lifting and dropping.Let tow pull float through a bit, lift ease back to starting position then drop back down,if your having to wait for bites try double bulk, lay 4″ on deck with last bulk 1/2″ of bottom.Just keep experimenting.

The main thing about tow is where your feed goes so move the float through the swim as the fish may be in a different place to where you put it in.

As has already been said, be mindfull where your feed ends up.

I have found that for skimmers a moving pellet is not always a bad thing but dont fancy it too much for carp.

Try fishing a heavier hookabit, either a hard pellet or corn possibly.

Back shotting the rig helps loads too, a fishing friend of mine gave me a right going over a few years ago for not using backshots and since then I have tried hard to understand them, they work and now I wouldnt fish without them.
