        Have a match coming up and know there is a good head of skimmers in there.what are the best tactics to catch skimmers?any advise is good as I have never fished it before.i know they catch carp close to islands

          Ive fished it a few times – not this year mind – and the silvers are caught close in top 4-5 as its a deepish place. Where the carp are concerned in my opinion its quite a peggy lake and like you say up to the islands or the sticks on the gravel bars with strongish gear. Good luck.
