I guess it’s not actually cheating but you won’t get much respect from doing that I would imagine!

I don’t think you would be breaking any rules but the question to ask yourself is if another angler was to do the same how would you feel.
If I wanted practice on a venue I would tend to fish the difficult pegs if this is the case then the question of picking to fish this peg on a rover wouldn’t be a problem as you would want to fish the better pegs.

Brilliant idea !!! No only joking, as has been said already – how would you feel if someone else did it to you and won ?? I know I’d be livid and so would all the other moaning old gits that fish our local opens, I’m also thinking that the match attendance would drop the following week or the lake would be full all day with others doing the same thing.

Hi chris,fish peg 8 and empty it,that’ll probably put the resident fish off for the evening match,then choose peg 28 for the match,you’ll have plenty of room,fish the pellet wag tight to the right hand island and empty it….,win the match…..job done 😉

I think any place thats having an evening match should not be fished at all prior to the match on that day

A club I used to be with prohibited participants fishing the venue for 5 days before the Sunday match.
Also at this time of year the fishing can be rock hard during the day and come alive in the evening so maybe pointless anyway….

peg 10 all the way chris, practise on it then pick it in the rover and empty it and take the money thats what i would do
