          I love this lake.
Its not all about carp, you can build a weight of silvers skimmers etc by fishing short with caster maggot etc. There are big carp in there mostly these hang around close in the rushes However some pegs have open water 1 to 14 ish and 25 to 33 pegs where you can target them long and shallow or on wag.
It can be moody so take a few bait options, if I was going this weekend I would take 2 pint caster or maggot some worm soft pellet 4mm and 6mm. Some paste and some 6mmo or 8mm hard for long line. Meat also worth trying. When I was there a few weeks ago they would not look at worm or meat. The big carp cruised around a foot deep and refused to feed. Weights were mostly crucians and skimmers with the odd lump caught mostly on small baits. If the big fish have a go you can do 80 to 100lb if they dont 30 to 50lb is where you need to target if you get your head down for the smaller fish.
One final piece of advice, dont fish too long for lumps with big baits like I did.

Sorry LL just seen your reply!! You will know by now that in the first arm pegs 1-12 and opposite 25 to 33 its very deep. Never found the deck at 16m but it must go 15 foot or so on some pegs. In the back arm its about 6 foot. Most fish the marginal weed or long shallow..
How did you go on? We were on Hollywood Sunday, it was very good 95lb won but no one had less than 20lb. Some happy faces as the rain missed us too!

                it fished really tough john,,
nothing really feeding in open water, those who sat out in open water trying to build a weight ended up with 20lb at best.
those who went down the sticks faired slightly better,
i fished in the sticks over my shoulder where i feed loose groundbait and the odd cube of meat
needed 1 more fish to win the match after snapping my topkits winching em from the sticks
ended up elasticating a spare landing net pole,, 😀
                39lb won it,
                then 36-15
                then me with 36-7
crackin day though,, not every day you fish matches like that,, them fish are mental ! 😀
