  Ah well, referee in the opening game is a definite homer.
  
  Shades of 2002 WC when the twin host nations were protected at all costs.
  
  I think France might do quite well in this competition.

  wonder if we can go flag waving without offending the non-english in our midst? just like we did over the long week-end cheering on our queenie.
  
  best comment over the period was that the queen was a good example of what happens when you do not have proper pension cover.
  
  in the past few competitions we have been one of the favourites then crashed out with egg on our faces. this year we are longish odds with the bookies. lets hope our results take a turn for the better.

  Its England and the England set up that worries me , NOT THE OPPOSITION. No goals in this current England set up plus the midfield is average at best ! 😉

  If we played Spain or Holland we wouldn’t get a touch of the ball, they keep it, something we cannot do, if we put three passes together we are doing well.

  I can’t really understand FIFA rankings …. England are somehow eight places above France in the rankings even though they have not beaten them in the last five attempts. France look a superior side to me…

  Great result for us (England) . Credit to Hodgson playing Oxlade Chamberlain from the start who had a very promising game imho. We were deffo playing against 12 men , the ref was truely awful , he gave us absolutley zilch 😡
  
  Solid formation and counter attacking with pace 😎 so lightweight up front though but Wellbeck worked his nuts off 😉 😎
  
  A draw against Sweden then Rooney back to give us some class up front against Ukraine and 3pts 😉

  A solid defensive performance limiting France to shots outside of the 18 yard box, but serioulsy lacking in creativity. Only one attempt on target all game!
  
  As Herbie alluded to, we have so many men behind the ball with 2 solid banks of four that there’s no outlet when we get possession. What are we going to do, bore the opposition to death? :rolleyes:

  Its tournament football and yesterday was about NOT getting beat against France 😉 A great point imho ….. 5 points will be enough to get through the group , mustnt lose against Sweden then Rooney back against a very average Ukraine 😉 WE CAN WIN UGLY WHEN ROONEY IS BACK ! LOL 😎

  I hope these people are better at fishing than predicting football results!!
  
  England have been average to say the least but are getting the results, tehy will need to step it up against Italy but I can see them doing it 😎
