            Thanks for the kind messages.

I must admit it has been a bitter pill to swallow after spending the last 6 months trying to organise. I will be running it again next year, im just pleased that everyone understood after i called it all off. I try my best to please everyone, I always try to work with the anglers and make a match as fair as possible and also try to put as many people on fish as is possible.

I would just like to give Ricky Teale & Matrix a huge thanks for having trust in me and the event, I would also like to thank pete & karen at the white hart for a fantastic service before & after the match.

Hopefully i can make this event bigger & better next season.

I would also like to thank & appologise to all the anglers that supported this event as i know that a few had come from away and spent a lot of money on travel, accomodation & bait.

I hope to see everyone on the bank real soon.

            Kindest regards,

            Alan Henry

It is a great shame that you got so much water in the river. As you say, a lot of anglers got prepared to fish and with bait, travelling and accomadation they must have spent a lot of money. No doubt they had a good time in the pub though!

Who could have imagined the sort of rain that you experienced up there last week?

A great shame, but there is always next year.

It will be back bigger & better next year, Confident running a festival now that i have had a taste of one now.

To be honest i would have fished through pure stupidity!

as you said loda commonsense prevailed. With the big tide & rain water the river must have risen another 3′ at least during saturday!!! we ended up fishing a knock up at south clifton and im not joking when i say it was max 3 1/2′ from breaking the flood banks, it would have been very dangerous & unfishable if we had gone to the designated sections to fish. I can live with the time/effort wasted but wouldnt be able to accept a fellow angler getting hurt/killed just for the sake of a fishing match!

once again thanks for the kind comments.
