  Got a match here soon,anyone got any info on tactics bait species to target as I’ve never been before

  not been for a while (well was on canal on sunday but not fished do`nut for ages)
  anyway it was usually method/bomb accross with pellet for carp
  then down the edge with maggot/caster last hour for barbel

  Fished a match there a ccouple of weeks ago drew peg 6(by the rope)had 97 lb on pellet wag
  up to island between 6 and 24 ” deep,all seemed to be shallow fishing.My brother had over a ton a month ago fishing shallow on pole.

  Thanks chianti were you using 8mm pellets the rules state you have to use branded pellets like senses etc does he police this

  Yes was using 8mm pellets, bailiff did walk round a few times
