Daventry AC very kindly took over the running of this popular charity event from Jet Breakers AC and well over £500 was raised for the MacMillan Support Centre’s Aylesford Cancer Unit at Warwick Hospital.

Winner on the day was Ivan Mills with 119lb 4oz from Peg 42 on Match Lake.
The Daventry AC rod caught from start to finish on the Method feeder cast tight to the island.

Just 1lb separated the next three anglers with Rich Wills edging into second spot with a level 91lb. Drawn on Peg 9 he used paste and pellet tactics close in and down the margins. That was just enough to beat Gary Cheney’s 90lb 9oz and Nathan Granger’s 90lb efforts.
