I’m a little out of touch after being away fly fishing for a year or 2. Just about to set myself up for the coming river and drain comps but am not up to date on number 2 and 3 elastics. Which are you prefering? Was personally looking at preston coloured latex.

        Any thoughts on this.

Hi Thor, I use both vespe and Preston in light elastics, never had a problem with either

Another vote for Preston original slip No3. Best for silvers and even the occasional lump. Cheap too.

future 3 is the best in my book, if you can get it, middy 3-4 is fab too.

OK interesting you’re favouring the original slip.

                  What’s the problem with latex?

                    Preston slip is latex Thor…

Not sure it is Simon. The original Preston slip is on flat winders (Original Slip Elastic), and the Preston coloured latex is on spools (Fluoro Slip Latex Elastic).

Anyone throw any light on this?

A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor light source. LEDs are used as indicator lamps in many devices and are increasingly used for other lighting.

preston do name there latex “slip” as well as there coloured elastic, probs a bit of confusion?

Have a look at Middy’s new 1-5 green streaches for ever and great for fish upto 3lb

Landed carp and F1 no problem even had a 6lb bream using it

cant say that middy green1-5 is ‘new’ i’ve had some over 7years now and was around a couple of years old then. It is’nt actually hollow – but is i agree a fantastic light silvers laccy- and seems approx. to a 3 solid, imo.
