Thanks for reminding me why I stopped buying newspapers years ago. They call themselves papers now as they dont generally contain any news that you didnt already know if you browse the internet.
Very poor article which has no science basis, probably made up in a taxi on the way back from the wine bar and frankly not worthy of comment.
          Who buys this junk anymore??
          Even Murcoch is jumping ship.

Pretty atrocious arguement. As you say probably written on the way back from a wine bar. I suspect that the push by the Anglers Trust to take cormorants off the protected list will fail though. Not helped by people with that sort of mind set.

Whilst watching Spring watch on BBC in April they featured a kingfisher raising 3 young in a nest set in a mud bank. The nest was predated by a mink and all 3 chicks eaten, my thoughts immediately turned to the activists who attacked mink farms years ago and released farmed mink into the wild in their 1000s. At the time they had support from many left wing idealists. Same with fox hunting, let the country side keepers sort things out many city dwellers have no idea.Nature is a complex beast.
If cormarants are not controlled it will be more than anglers moaning in years to come as several species are obliterated.

Careless of the left-wing totalitarians to let the mask slip in their very own propaganda sheet.

At least it offers an insight into their view that angling is a “country sport” and deserves the same fate as all other non-metropolitan activities.

Good that it’s been revealed for all to see.
