I had two of these poles and loved them and were similiar in make up to the original Sprectron. I have caught carp on them, but I used short numbers fours and power kits and had carp to 14lb at Barford on this setup.

However my honest opinion is they are an out and out silver fish pole and due to where I live I was not catching carp on a weekly basis.

I have regretted selling them, the one thing I do not miss is the finish which was rough when shipping back. They also suffered from the traditional Daiwa problem of sections coming apart at times unexpectedly.

I suppose it depends what on price you are getting it and with what spares.
