I bought a bag of F1 Sweet fishmeal G/Bait, and can’t get the stuff to bind together! It was perfect when first mixed, but once it absorbed the water no matter how much extra liquid was added it refused to hold together.I binned the mix (half a bag) and at £6 a bag I don’t think the stuff is up to the job. I emailed Sonubaits to ask for advise but so far I’ve had no response. Any help would be appreciated.

        Thanks.

I had the same with that groundbait when I tried it – it was like trying to make a ball of wet sand! I’ve used a few others of theirs (Krill and Tigerfish) and not had the same problem, so assumed it was from a bad batch.

Reading between the lines and based on what i know about catching F1s while feeding ground bait. Its a very fine ground bait for feeding with a small pole cup to give a cloud in very shallow water. Main use is up against islands and the fare bank of snake lakes. Its not a balling ground bait. So, you dont need the ground bait to hold together as a ball. Its fed as a loose ground bait or as a slop with the use of a pole cup. .

An alternative to sonubaits super crush GBait would be Ringers Bag-up and crushed pellet 50/50. Add just enough water to make the mix sink. Feed it with a pole pot. Deadly for F1s on snake lakes by laying your rig in over the top of the cloud!

TB its perfect for what you describe it for, but so would a lot of g/baits if mixed correctly, it would be better if it could hold together with a bit of a squeeze and sink to the bottom in say 5ft of water and then form a bit of a cloud.. I’m almost sure I’ve read somewhere that Lee Kerry uses it on the method.
