        REPORT

MOLANDS The weather has hit the fishing hard with wet and windy conditions turning to severe frosts at the weekend. F1’s and skimmers providing the best of the sport with long pole and pellet or caster working best with catches to 30lb best. Top pegs are 2, 13, 25, 43 – 46 and 52 – 56.

GEARYS It has been very hard at the moment on Gearys with only skimmers showing in nets to double figures. Pole fished pinkies, caster or pellet over ground bait is the best tactic with the high bank the best area.

LITTLE GEARYS The cold snap saw sport become really hard through the weekend when ice breakers were needed. The top tactic is long pole with pellet or red maggot over micros. Best pegs 7, 11 – 15 and 23 – 29.

GRATUITIES As with all the pools, the fishing has been hard but some decent nets were caught with the middle pegs fishing up to the island best. A small pellet feeder or waggler with punched bread or dead maggot is catching carp from 1 – 4lb.
