first of all i aint no expert just started myself but some mates guided me on what to start with for normal lure/spinners use a fixed spool reel with front drag + braid until you get into it a bit my mates use multipliers with braid for jerk bait fishing with stiff traces but advised me to start like this its simple uncomplicated+your probably use to using a f/s/reel anyway theres a lad who posts on here regular ref predator fishing he can probably advise you if you need any technical advice tight lines 😎

I know most would probably say fixed spool, Baitrunners etc… but John Watson has always used multipliers at least for his Broads boat fishing and he’s caught a few in his time. Personally I have never cracked multipliers for lure fishing but that is down to my incompetence.
