Fry Takes Barston Christmas Match With A Winter Record

Barston’s annual Christmas Match was won by the ever consistent Simon Fry.
Simon, who finished as runner up in the 2012 UK champs, only losing out on weight, drew fancied peg 17 at the Solihull water, right where he wanted to be, and fished the Method at 70 yards for 116-10-0 made up of fifty big F1s and three small carp and a record for any winter match at Barston. Second was ‘Mo’ Williams from peg 20, who also broke the ‘ton’ with 103lb of F1s on the Method. Matt Derry had a mixed bag of F1s and bream for his 65lb from peg 12 and third spot
