most feeder rods designed for carp in commercial ponds are fine for method feeders as used these days.
a few years ago method feeders were the size of coconuts, loaded with heavy sticky groundbait and therefore needed a specialised rod capable of casting very heavy weights every few minutes. these rods became known as ‘feeder rods’.
