I note on the results page that packington has put its ticket price up to £8.50 last year our club was only charged £7.00 thats a big rise and makes it hard for small clubs like ours who take money upfront and have to book up to 12 months in advance to balance our books I can only hope they keep match tickets as last year as they have got our deposit .Any thoughts

Take your pegging fee off members at the start of the year, run a pound card scratch card and use some of the money towards increase. This may help.

Im not to worried to much about the club covering the increase as our club is quite old and has some cash backup im just think this is quite a large rise that could damage small clubs

To be fair to Packington, this may, in some cases be a reduction, or an effective freeze, at least for individual angler’s.

Last year (and I think before that) the ticket price was whatever it was for a day ticket, I think 7.50 and then they hit you with, ” well if you want to take your car in it’s two quid” . Which I thought was not on, given the size of the site, you were over a barrel.

So £8.50 and no parking fee isn’t bad, especially if you’re on your own and paying for your car yourself. At least it’s clear how much it is and you take your choice.

Nice venue by the way, if you’re into commercials.

I know, personally I often fish where it’s free (or on a much cheaper club card), but do want to be a bit of an allrounder.

                      And yes the parking fee,….well

But thats in the past now.

the price inrease is for day tickets only, not peg fees for matches.A day ticket angler who fished in 2012 would have paid £7.50 +£2.00 car park(optional but 99% took there car down)this year the same angler will pay £8.50 so their cost is reduced!
match peg fees are £7 as quoted when clubs booked and yes 20% vat is included in our prices.
