        As i am not doing much fishing at the moment I thought it would be a good idea to check my stocks of line, as most know I like to use Ultima power steel as a reel line and Ultima power match for hooklengths and pole rigs, on checking I have noticed that I am running short of power match in 0.16, 0.12 & 0.10 , In these uncertain times god forbid if ultima went belly up so I have orderred sufficient stocks of power match in the strains I have run low on knowing that I will be ok for some time to come, I like the line and more importantly know what each strain is capable of and even better can sleep at night knowing that I have got plenty of my favourite brand of line. Orderred from ebay power match is just £3.49 inc postage now thats what I call a steel (no pun intended) 😉

        If you use Ultima lines it might be a good idea to stock up now . 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

          I heard on tuesday that Ultima are no more, anybody now anything. I dont use there line but its a shame if they have gone.

            Yep looks like Ultima are no more. Phone number unavailable, some credit information companies saying the company is dissolved.

              Maybe they have gone bust because no one buy’s their lines?? 😀

                    I was down the old canal with me ol mates and 27 of us were using Ultima and the carp just kept snapping it like cotton. To a man all 33 of us changed to another brand that we had, redoing all our rigs etc and can you believe it we all never got snapped up again and everyone of us broke the world canal match record and got a nice brown envelope for our troubles.

                      Then we all went to Brighton pier and used ultima line and we all caught these big black whiskery things. I think the line we used was Power Seal.

                        Thats what I thought Nick! hopefully there will be some sort of rescue package or buy out, hopefully I’ll be at the big one I’ll come up and say heollo mt8
