        I’m in the market for a new pole, and would like to upgrade my MAP 525, with one of the newer models as i have all the top kits and have a MAP margin pole. Now the problem occurs because i do not want/need 16m – my 16m section sits in the garage (a spare cost of £125).
        But in order to get the best pole i can afford I will have to buy a 16m 501.

        Why oh why don’t manufactures make their poles available in 13m, 14.5m and 16m packages.
        This would bring the price down for non 16m users and give us access to the latest technology.
        I’m sure MAP would sell a lot more poles with this option.

        Any one agree !!

            Middy have the option, the XK55 is available in 14M and 13M packages, as well as the obligatory 16M. I thought about buying at a shorter length since I rarely fish longer than 14M, but ended up buying at 16M ‘just in case’, I’ve had it 5 months now & I’m still yet to use the 16M extension.
