  I sent a question to PI and they replied saying there is no reason why tackle shops should be out of stock of these items.
  
  Seems strange, been trying to get my hands on some for a while now.

  I had a hell of a job getting hold of them late last summer. I managed to get a mate to get me about two dozen packets in the end from his local shop, but they had to wait for them to come in for a while too.

  Just found some on Matchman Supplies web site and FREE p&p. 🙂
  so ordered 5 packets for £6

  Tim at matchman supplies is a top bloke.
  
  Saying that I recently ordered those 456 hooks from that site and had my money taken only to find out there weren’t in stock!
  
  Had my money refunded, annoying nonetheless.
