Over the last few years I have been using Fox Micro Plus for all my hooklengths and because i had a reasonable stock at home I hadn’t realised it had been discontinued. Can anyone point me at anyone who still has a stock of this line or recommend something as a replacement.

I have used Preston Powerline but there were lots of discussion in the past about inaccurate diameters and when I tried microplus I found that it seemed stronger for the same diameters.

I am guessing there might be a Matrix replacement soon?

I used to use the fox line and have found the Guru n-gauge as a very good replacement.

Another vote for the Guru N gauge.

                  Hi Ray,

I recently ran out of my original supply of Pro Micron in lower diameters (0.07mm-0.09mm) and had the same dilemma as you with regard to finding a replacement.

I opted for Garboline and have been quite impressed with it so far, but I only use it for hooklengths for silvers. I use Silstar Matchteam (WBClarke) for main line, or for carp fishing.

                  Cheers,

                  Tommo

Use the garboline for everything and its spot on

Will give N Guage a go as that is stocked in a couple of local shops – no one in my area seems to do Garbolino (or Browning, or Milo and Tricast – forget it)!! 🙁
