Looking to buy a new pair of feeder rods which will be good all rounders and not for carp. Capable of handling winds and pushing distances of up to approx 60yards. Can anyone recommend?

        Thanks

        John

Hi willing to spend around £150-180max for each, I have been offered new preston excel 12ft 6 feeder at a very good price, £300 for the pair, I know they have just been taken out of catalogue this year but what are they like? Would they be good enough

“Drennan Red range” feeder rods, 9.5, 10 and 11 foot rods all at under £50 each must be worth a consideration if you do not want to break the bank. Excellent for short to middle range chucks with glass tips from 1oz to 3oz
I have found these to be really good value for money.
Not the slimmest or the lightest but they do have a very good progressive action.and a joy to use.
( no vested interest, just passing on an honest opinion)

Ive been using the garbolino G max 13ft feeder which retails at over £200 but you can pick them up on e bay at the moment for £142 which is cheap…. Excellent all round rod that will handle anything

I personally have 2 preston carbonactive sentient 12ft6 superfeeders, they are absolutely spot on, with a super slim profile that handle 2 ounce roach upto 20lb carp. They are without doubt the best rods that ive ever used, and ive had lots of different ones (tackle tart),Truely awesome, apart from one small default which is, if the eyes bend out of line with the rod and you try and straighten them, they immidistly snap off!!!!!Only defect the rods have 🙁
