TF_mart4666Looking thro ebay listings tonite (well im on nites lol) and theres two daiwa airs for sale. One in lancashire starting 2grand and one in derbyshire 14 bids to 1000+ both for quick sales. They may be true sales but wots got me thinking isthey both insist on paypal payment only and postage .one even says if you dont pay in half hr then 2nd chance offers will be sent.
This one in particular smacks of con to me. Im only on my phone so cant see contact details which are often at bottom of listing but my m8 bid on a elite 88 a few months back and that was a conn from latvia.even tho it said item location London.
If i was truely selling an air i would prefer cash on collection to save high fees.
They may be honest sellers BUT im a little bit sceptical. Especially the derbyshire one…..??????!! -

TF_Mike Herringtonhey up Mart (might have a couple of kits off you).
one of them (the one at £2k) – the seller has 16 feedback and appears a bit more genuine than the other one. How can someone normally fish with a 11.5m then go to an Air. In addition, they also have zero feedback and want funds within 30 mins or they will second chance offer it. I do not feel it is right. In addition, if it is paypal only, and it goes dodgy you will get your money back (but it looks to me like it may be that you pay and they are going to do a runner with the brass, you then have to claim it back from paypal/fleabay)
Although, I may be wrong.

TF_Kagger TNBNobody in their right mind would buy a second hand pole, from somebody they didn’t know, and without seeing it, when you’re talking that sort of money.
And I can’t believe anybody who knew anything about poles would expect to sell one on that basis.

TF_mart4666😮 exactly Kagger, ive looked and cant see any contact details like ya could with the Latvian ones but ebay are forever changing there ad makeups. and too me there saying must pay in 30mins sounds so dodgy.
im actually in the market for an air and ive messaged the lancashire one , asking is there a buy it now price and where did he purchase the pole from. his location is 12 miles from a well known daiwa dealer and similar to another…… ive yet to get a reply. BUT in any case i would have to view before parting with readys NOT send me your money and ya may get it in a weeks time 😮 -

TF_macca63How easy would it be for someone to reply to a phishing email requesting their logon details for eBay then the fraudster to utilise that persons eBay account? Dead easy. If its too good to be true then it usually is. These fraudsters know what a greedy bunch us anglers are and pick the latest high value items to ‘sell’ knowing they will get loads of bidders anxious to own the latest bit of kit. A fool and their money are easily parted.

TF_CutnutAlso on Ebay over the past few days have been two or three complete Match kits up for sale (seatbox, nets, rods, bags you name it) all the photos have the same garden background just different kit….they all look like someones hard earned collection   Genuine? I can’t bring myself to believe that one person has so much kit to sell…either a dealer or a stealer.

TF_gixer1Lads’, come on none of us are that daft these people are obviously scamming scumbags who think we are all stupid, as Mart had done I e-mailed the one in Skelmersdale and asked for some piccies of the actual pole, guess what, no reply! be nice if some local lads could find the seller and “re-educate” them in the perils of ripping hard working folk off.
