Despite the hot, still conditions with hardly a breath of wind stirring the surface of the lake, some good catches were recorded by the 17 anglers taking part in this pole only match.

First time lake visitor Gaz Smith from Birmingham had a good days fishing on peg 55 where he took 8 bream plus skimmers on maggot for a 56lb 3oz catch winning bag.
Runner-up spot was taken by another first timer, Ian Didcote; Ian also found that maggot had the edge taking another good catch of 49 lb 15oz of bream and skimmers ahead of Dean Boswell with 44lb 8oz.
