TF_bagging machineParticipantDefinately not Bolingey they are tame commercial carp and used to being caught. Pound for pound Penvose farm near Newquay or Top pond Lodge Farm near Doncaster. Drayton used to be fun before the bivvy boys took hold, Boddington can go a bit when they finally come within range.

TF_JohnHDefinately not Bolingey!! Had 80 carp mostly doubles in July on a top kit with red hydro 019 guru to a 12 qm1 with 11mm pellets . Probably my highest ever weight.
As its expensive to stay at W/A then not many clubbies get down, I had the lake to myself.
My wife was sat behind me doing the counting.
I agree the big reservoir fish seem to go like no others, its also hard to work out sometimes where they are after they have tore off. They have lots of water to go at depth wise too. -

AnonymousYep got to agree Cyprus all as stated above really but the carp of Kouris dam stand out for me. Proper wild carp in a piece of water the size of lake Windermere. Awesome!

TF_AnthonywatersParticipantSome interesting answers thanks for replying, Cyprus seems a favourite I’ve never fished there, I have fished in France a couple of times and caught giant carp over 40lb some of those fought a bit but I found Carp in the high 20s were at there optimum fighting weight any bigger they could prove some what of anti climax they just plodded about
