Angel of the North Lakes October 7th, 2013
Thermals in the water with 3 deg difference between the bottom and surface layers on the lakes has proved to be great for anglers taking advantage of this knowledge and fishing up in the water.
Silvers including big bream best out 10lb 2oz by Dave ? are being caught in good numbers on Bowes with carp switched on early or late best carp out 21lb 3oz a common by Billy Edwards from Gateshead fishing meat and fed 6 mm angel pellet.
Bassetts still producing some good fishing with a two hour session on Sunday on a coaching session young 14 yr old caught 21 fish including good carpto 4 lb.
Lookout is fishing well target silvers throughout the day and carp in the early morning or later in the afternoon.
Start using maggots, worm, caster, but also have some paste made out of angel 3mm pellets to try and have pellets on hand as well. Sweetcorn, luncheon meat prawn and mussel still catching a few, maggot feeder, groundbait feeder also pellet feeder doing ok as is angel pellet for feed. Not one bait working better than the next at present with the water thermals.
