Elite 88 or not?

  Hi all, im about ready to upgrade my pole (finally!) now i have been wanting an elite 88 for some time as i have faith in maver poles from my old old jurasic carp, but now i have come to have a look at them i have noticed 50% of people saying ‘they break easily’ and the other 50% saying they are brilliant, i am sort of stuck now haha, anyone got any advise? :confused:

  If your at all heavy handed then be careful. They are a lot different from your Jurassic carp. That said though they are a lovely pole, I have one and love it for my winter carp and f1 fishing, but I use an elite carp for summer work.
  
  If you are still thinking of buying one in the future let me know because I’m considering upgrading my poles to a new signature series, so I may have mine for sale at a good price, may even do a super deal on my elite carp and 88 combined! 😉

  Hi mate if you are in the market for a new pole have a good serous look at the new map 901 the spares package is massive with a total of 8 power kits 5 match kits 3 spare long 4s and I think 2 long 4s it’s awesome pole and worth every penny my one bug about maver is that they relise a new flagship pole every 12 month saying it’s better than the last when in truth the poles haven’t changed very much in the last 3 year or so IMO you can’t call a pole improved when all you have done is changed the graphics a little bit like I said just to clerfy this my opinion my friend fishes for maver and uses an air if that is anything to go by I would say have a good look around and have a good waggle with some poles mate but I like you have also heard nightmare story’s about maver poles

  It comes with 3 short 4s, no long 4s!!
