8lb 5oz Gary Martin, Corby, daddy, boat
A total of 62 fish over 3lb caught
Best Areas
Bank – dam, brook side, boat bay, east arm
Boat – anywhere down the middle
Best Patterns
Wet or dry daddy, black, brown or claret hoppers, grhe, red diawl bach, white/green lures
Bank fishing remains challenging with anglers generally managing a bag of up to three fish.
However boat anglers had an excellent week with good fishing weather and numerous daddies on the water keeping the fish occupied on the surface for most of the day.
Daddies fished wet or dry is easily the best method although when there are less fish rising a team of diawl bachs and hares ears on a floating line has worked well with fish still being caught in the top four foot.
With cooler nights it is only a matter of time before the bank is back on form.
