FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 26/10/14
Last week 73 rods caught 219 fish for an average of 3 fish per rod.
The very windy conditions made the fishing a little harder this week with boat anglers enjoying the best of the action over the past week.
The biggest fish of the week was a 7lb rainbow caught by Mr A Harris of Cumbria who caught it on a black and green Lure fished on a intermediate line whilst fishing from the bank of Cocks Close and Keith Burgess of Birmingham caught a 5lb rainbow on a Cats Whisker whilst fishing from a boat on Cocks Close. Rod Lacey of Nuneaton also fished from a boat fishing catch and release and he caught 20 fish to 4½lb
fishing with sunken Daddies and Buzzers.
On the members’ waters, sport is improving on all of the pools. Nick Howarth of Nuneaton fished from a boat on Great Pool and he caught seven fish to 4lb on a small GRHE Nymph fished on a floating line. On Park Meadow, Clive Squires caught five and returned a further four fish to 4lb using black Tadpoles to tempt them all.
The best patterns are Cats Whisker, Gold Head Damsels, Tadpoles, white Zonkers, GRHE, Montana Nymphs and black Buzzers.
