LEVAS Championship Match 15 (also for the P Read Memorial Trophy) was fished jointly with the Soldiers & Sailors Angling Club at the Rycroft Fishery (Hemington) over the Clover and Moat Pools
Brian Leafe on Clover peg 4 fished an excellent match, and catching carp to 7-00 on pole and pellet bait at 12 metres, amassed a superb 111-04 for a clear win.
Steve Talbot on Moat peg 13 re-launched his assault on the LEVAS Championship with 66-01 of carp to 8-00 by alternating between 5 and 10 metres of pole and using 6ml expander pellets at bait, taking second place in the match.
Neil Stevenson (Moat 20) had 44-07 for third place, ahead of Anthony White (Clover 6) with 40-09.
Although Rob Pembridge retains the LEVAS Championship lead with 219 points, Steve Talbot has jumped into second place with 209, just ahead of Dave Cotterill who has 207. This three have a 30 point lead over the chasing pack.
Match 16 (for the Fletcher Cup) is also at Rycroft but on the “Canals” on Sunday 7 December, and will also be the LEVAS “Christmas Fur & Feather Match”. Book a place with Dave Kent.
