Ringstead Grange had a wonderful opening weekend inspite of a dreary, damp day on Saturday.
The lake is crystal clear with all swims cleared and new ones put in.
The largest fish on the Saturday went to Reg Belham from Northampton (photo attached) weighing in at 10lb, caught on a Blue Flash Damsel.
Jim Foster from Ringstead was delighted with his 8 – 9lb returned fish caught on a Blank & Green Montana.
Barry Hall from Wellingborough, caught a 6 1/2 pound fish.
Adam Docherty from Peterborough, 6lb fish.
Graham Herridge from Christchurch, 7lb fish.
Dave Strudwick from Burton Latimer 6 1/2 pounder.
Steve West from Irthlingborough, 6 lb fish.
Many other 6lb fish caught with no blanks.
Best Areas:
Willow Bay, Sand Bank, Caravan Corner and Lodge Front.
Bank fishing is good as are the Boats.
Best Flies:
Blue Flash Damsel, Montana and Cats Whisker.

Ringstead will be holding a heat for the Ian Barr Bank Masters Competition on 21 March 15 and the final will be held on 19th April 15.
Details can be found in the Lodge. All entrants will receive a free £30 fly line and £10 worth of flies.
*1st prize for the final is £2000*.
