Report:
In the bright sunshine early in the match there were carp cruising all over the lake, which they continued to do throughout the match. However, they did not appear interested in feeding and anglers had to work hard for bites.

Long Eaton angler John Adamson (peg A20) had a very slow start to the match with one bite in the first hour. The second hour produced 4 fish to his method feeder, the next hour was very quiet and from then on he caught fish at regular intervals, ending with 14 carp, a goldfish, and a bream, plus one pole caught fish, a carp of 17-12 to total 87-14 and a win.

On peg A11 Andy Findlay had an excellent start on method feeder with 6 early fish. He also had a quiet middle to the match before starting to catch again on both pole and feeder to finish with 18-04 of bream and 47-12 of carp for his 66-00 total and second place.

Only 5-08 split the next 4 anglers, Terry Sanderson (peg B12) taking third place with 47-06 ahead of Stu Palser’s 47-00 from peg B9 taking fourth.
