On the not too windy days Elinor was on good form last week with the boats having consistent sport and the bank fishing better than two weeks ago.
Many more fish are being taken off the surface with dries the best method especially in the West arm.
Along with the prolific buzzer hatches there are plenty of pond olives now. It is worth keeping an eye on the Terns to find where the biggest fly hatches are happening. The trout won’t be far away!
Although most fish are being taken on imitative patterns some good sport is to be had by fishing orange blobs in the rougher water for daphnia feeders.
The water remains incredibly clear and the fish are in superb, hard fighting condition.
The evening rise is in full swing now if the wind is not too strong.
