Match Report

Round Five (the penultimate round) of this year’s Soldiers & Sailors Angling Club’s Spring “Bag Up” League was fished on the Oak Pool at Beechwood Fishery.

It proved an excellent match with weights of carp taken all around the pool, the in for Rob Pembridge taking top spot with 53-10. Rob, on peg 21, fortunately had an unoccupied peg on either side. He fished punched bread (with no feed) towards the island and kept fish interested all match for a clear win.

Anthony White (peg 5) fished pellet towards the island for his second placed 42-14, as did third placed Steve Talbot (peg 30) for his 34-06 and third place.

Malc Munn (peg 2) and Brian Leafe (peg 4) tied for fourth place with 33-00 each, Dave Cotterill taking sixth place form peg 14 with 31-08.
