Ringstead Grange reports that although anglers were slightly down on the previous week, beautiful condition fish were being caught with an average weight of 3lb a piece.

Nigel Cheetham (Oundle) had a good day catching his limit and various others.

Bob Russel (Kettering) had a nice pair at 3lb and 2 3/4lb on an evening ticket.

Bill Callaway (Bedford) 3 fish at 3 – 2 1/2 lb and 2 lb.

Steve Quartly (London) braved a nasty storm but went home with a brace at 3 1/4 and 2 1/2lb.

Chris Meeks (Rushden) a limit of 5 fish weighing 1 at 3lb, 3 at 2.5lb and 1 at 2lb.

George Foster,14 yrs old, Rosemary’s grandson, (Ringstead) was thrilled with his morning fishing catching a brace at 3lb each.

Best Areas for boats are Mill Corner, Lodge Front and The Deeps.

Bank fishing – Willow Bay & Caravan Corner.

Best Flies: Blob, Damsel, Buzzers, Hares Ears, Diawl Back, Cats Whisker, Blue flash Damsel.

A large pike was caught on a Green Tadpole by Nigel Cheetham weighing 25lbs. (attached)

Days of pike fishing will be announced at a later date.

Trout stocking will again take place this week with another tagged fish being put into the lake.
