Saturday 20th Jan 2007 open match
Clear blue sky and sunny, Ambient temperature of 7 deg, humidity 66% barometer 997 mb,  moon phase waxing Crescent, but Wind W 33 mph gusting to 45 mph, water temp of 6 deg, PH 7.65 and DO 9.35,  was the brave setting for our match today. Fish knocking very well, and conversion to catches difficult because of wind spoiling presentation.

Overcast with sunny spells, Ambient temperature 4 deg, Humidity 81%, wind W 23 mph with gusts, Barometer 1001mb, Moon Phase Waxing Crescent, Water Temp 5.5 deg, PH 7.60, DO 9.4,  heavy overnight rain caused fish to go down.

Severe windy conditions again this week has caused problems with presentation, water temperatures have remained constant helping to catch on the tip.
Bassetts still producing well, Junior match on Sunday fished very well with
Bowes, Saturdays match results produced 44lb 6oz winner
Lookout- in a 12 to 3.30 session an Alister Johnson from Chester le Street on ledger using 8lb main line, 5lb terminal size 14 hook, hair rigged sweetcorn, took  2lb tench, and carp.

Best hook baits,  sweetcorn, maggot, casters, worm  and mussel doing well choice of pegs on the day critical depending on conditions.
Open Matches have been cut to Saturdays and odd Sundays only,  until March as adverse weather is due!
Super cup league match on bowes Feb 17th Sat, Weatherby, Middlesbrough and AOTN teams fishing, so no open match on this day.
