Happy New Year AND Tight Lines for 2007 to All

Fishing has been very mixed this last fortnight with calm days with no wind to gusting winds, warm temperatures to ground frost conditions.

Careful walking of the banks and good observation of watercraft to choose your fishing peg is essential as is choice of tackle, balanced and gear down end tackle, certain days float has come into its own, pole on others and feeder on others.

Lookout has had some great catches  and produced skimmers, Rudd, roach, perch, ide, carp even tench, dusk  or noon to 3pm best fishing times,

Bowes carp feeding towards noon till dusk some good catches loads of knocks and when converted to bites fighting like its summer.

Bassetts fish topping all over however very very shy bites, lots of knocks but difficult to get conversions, but patience and skill converts them to catches

Best catches in excess of 60 fish by several anglers average in severe conditions is 10 fish.

We are now open all year with Christmas day being the only day closed.
