        No this is not a SM question

        Tried to re-ring a boat rod and found that it was underwhipped which I have never come across before does anyone know a website that will show me how to do it

          Far as I was aware you just work out the length of your ring (oo er misses) and whip the section of blank where you want the ring to be. Varnish leave to dry and then whip the ring on as normal.

          On the other hand I may be completely wrong.

              just as phish says, the important thing is to give the under whip a coat of varnish and let it dry before whipping on the guide otherwise the over whippings will work their way between the under whip.
