        i currently use a bubbler for joker with twice weekly water changes.
        I keep bloodworm with 2.5mm water depth in a tray.
        My questions are;

        Would my bloodworm be better kept with airstone bubbler as well- or would this harm the bloodworm?

        Also, due to living in a flat- my joker bubbler bucket has to be kept indoors(nice pond odour!)- does room temperature adversely effect joker longevity this way?

        Any help appreciated.

        two shakes

          I used to use a bubbler,but now keep my Joker in cat litter trays and add just enough water to cover the joker,and i change the water daily.For bloodworm i do the same but i have about an inch of water in the trays,again i change this water daily.
          I’m sure somebody will dissagree,but from my own experience keeping the trays somewhere cool like a shed or garage,and using rain water rather than tap water certainly seems to help the bait last longer.Hope this helps.

              Lol Breach who fishes for Oakwood with Pete Vassey and co uses a bubbler 6inches of water to keep the joker in, he keeps the bloodworm in a small tropical fish net drapped into the 6inches of water with the joker the net is used obviously to segregate the blood from the joker, water needs to be changed on a regular basis, however tap water can be used if you let it stand for several hours apparantly chrorine evaporates from the water after a few hours, all interesting stuff I must admit and info lol gave me when discussing the subject matter only last week.

                chlorine evaporates faster when in direct sunlight

                  There’s no problem with using tap water anyway, no need to let it stand. Used to keep a constant supply of joker going all through the winter, an airstone and daily water changes and riddling off the dead skins .

                    we have really heavy chlorine in our local water- so have tubs out for rain and a brita.
                    cheers for your replies guys,
                    one further question- if bloodworm arrives in peat- what is best way of washing this off apart from riddling?

                      Put em in one of those kiddies nets and swish about in water.
