Sorry about this but all things considered what is the best 16m pole currently available for carp averaging 3lb with occasional 5-6lb’ers?

I will get in before the Pro/ Airity/ Garbolino chaps!

Try the Milo Superba XT it’s a nice bit of kit, 16m pole 5 power kits and 4 top fours, cupping kit, two half butts, holdall. I have been using it since start of the year and find it brilliant. (Used to have a t/pro and all my top kits fit the xt)~clap

A vote here for the Garbo G-Max 1000, Class bit of kit, though totally wasted on me, thought I’d get that in before you postie!!!

I think if you really catch nothing more than 5lb, it opens up your eyes to alot more poles. Obviously most of the top of the range poles will be perfect, well balanced, etc but expensive. I have a sensas 774 which is a great bit of kit and suits me and my fishing. mind you all the top end poles are nice, so it’s a case of trying them all out and picking which you think will suit you best with performance vs package vs price.

Don’t really think, as long as your tackle and elastic is balanced, that all poles on the market will handle a fish that size. I would think you could also look at the super light weight spectron m2. Only rated to a 12 or so elastic, but v v light and well balanced. If you are fishing 16m lots though, then you will really need to spend 1500 and up to get the balance and usability at that length.

All things considered “How long is a piece of string?” lol

Poles are such a personal thing, there is no one definitive answer!
Its what feels RIGHT to you and suits your BUDGET.

Conny G20, is a great pole fella, fishable to the full length, very strong and imo the right price at £1k ish..

would say, think about size of carp- those carp will get bigger soonish!
currently have a lovely 16m pole
(old tri-cast excellence) but can’t use it where larger average sized carp or lumps.
Tri-cast aristocrat or triology- very strong and lighter than T.Pro – though perhaps not as lump capable strong, imo.
Have to say old tourney pro still awesome and will handle all carp and red hydro where necessary. Also Daiwa whisker All-terrain a simular versatile carp capable strong pole ,a ‘poor mans’ tourney pro- but still fishable at 16m for 5 hrs as alternative.

If i was looking for a pole i wouldn’t be baseing it just around that particular size of fish as your not always going to be aiming for them. I’d be looking for a decent carp pole or a very good allrounder!

                          Gmax 1000
                          Tourny Pro X
                          Airity
Don’t forget the Sensas range they got brilliant spare packages.
